How to Make Your Eyebrows Thicker

Learn how to make your eyebrows thicker using this easy set of tips.

Thick eyebrows have been trending for some time now. Gone are the days of pencil-thin brows. With Cara Delevingne taking the spotlight with her amazing modeling, acting and even singing talents, it seems her iconic thick eyebrows are here to stay for a long, long time.

While there are many of us who are basking in the glory of this new definition of beauty, there are others with sparse eyebrows who are frantically penciling and eyebrow gel-ing away every single day. Over-plucking is also something that leads many to have little to no eyebrows.

What if we told you there are ways to make your eyebrows fuller? They may never achieve Cara Delevingne-status but they could grow enough for you save a bit on your eyebrow pencil. Read on to learn how to make your eyebrows thicker.

Caster Oil

You already know it – oils are the best in growing hair back. Castor oil in particular is great for regrowing and thickening hair for a number of reasons:

  • High in omega-9 fatty acids and deeply penetrating; nourishes hair, follicle and surrounding skin.
  • High in ricinoleic acid, a good anti-fungal and anti-bacterial agent. Keeps bacteria and fungus at bay, which can prevent hair from growing effectively.
  • Thick consistency; coats hair and prevents it from falling out.

To apply castor oil, use a Q-tip or a cotton swab. Simply dip the cotton swab into oil, shake off the access and brush it across clean eyebrows. Do this every night. Results may start to appear after 6 six of dutifully doing so!

Vitamins

If you are committed to getting thicker eyebrows, it’s essential that you regulate your vitamin intake as well. Even if you apply growth serums on a nightly basis, having a diet with a lack of vitamins can lead to a staggering growth of eyebrows, if at all. So ensure you have the proper food sources for the following vitamins:

  • Vitamin C
  • B Vitamins (especially Vitamin B12, Niacin, Biotin)
  • Vitamin E
  • Vitamin A
  • Vitamin D

Make sure that your diet is rich in the following nutrients too: protein, iron, magnesium.

Vaseline

Many users of Vaseline swear by its ability to thicken the eyebrows. Vaseline is basically petroleum jelly, an effective moisturizer which conditions the hair and skin on your brow area. This properties could have facilitated the growth of eyebrows for many who attest to it.

Many recommend applying Vaseline onto the eyebrows at least twice per day for a quicker route to thicker eyebrows.

Massage or Exfoliate

Massage the areas  taken up by your eyebrows or exfoliate them. Exfoliating can be done by using a soft toothbrush, or a light scrub on the skin in circular motions. This will allow for the area to be stimulated for hair growth.

Lastly, in the process of obtaining thicker eyebrows, try not to pluck or wax your eyebrows. Overplucking will only undo all the efforts you place into making your eyebrows thicker.

In addition to the methods listed above, you can also look into trying hair growth serums. Using these tips, you can stop wondering how to make your eyebrows thicker and start working on achieving them!
