- First, apply a suitable base onto your eye lids. Use foundation to cover up dark eye circles if present. You can also add loose powder to create matte effect.
- Grey and silver eye shadows are common colors used to achieve smokey eyes. Feel free to use them on your eyelids. Using a fluffy brush, blend upwards to the crease.
- Next, pick up both the black and dark brown eye shadows with your brush and apply onto your lids. For jet black smokey eyes, use only the black eye shadow. When applying the eye shadows, start at the center of eye lids and extend swiftly towards outer corner.
- Using a medium brown eye shadow that matches your skin tone, extend it further down to lower lash line, applying a little more there as well. This helps produce a gradient effect on your eyes.
- Next, brush on some bronze or gold eye shadow at the edges and blend out.
- To define your eyes, trace the outer waterlines of both lower and upper lids with a kohl pencil. Next, draw a thin line across your eyelids close to your upper lash line using an eyeliner. As you extend outwards, make the line thicker. On your lower lash line, simply draw a thin line and smudge using a smudge brush. Blend in black and brown eye shadow once again to soften the eyeliner.
- Using a lash curler, curl both upper and lower lashes. Apply a good coat of mascara onto your lashes thereafter. To make your eyes look even more lively, you can add false eyelashes.
- Finally, apply satin or matte color onto your brow bone to highlight it. Your makeup is now complete!
