DIY Home remedies for blackheads

  1. Egg white mask

It is very easy to prepare egg white mask at home quickly. This mask tightens the pores of the face temporarily, which will not only remove your current blackheads but also reduce the chance of blackheads appearing in the future.

Direction:

You will just need an egg and a few strips of tissue paper, clean towel and a small bowl to make a mask. At first, separate the yolk from the white and slowly rinse your face. Place a strip of facial tissue over the wet egg white and make sure to press it gently. Let the first layer dry, and carefully apply a second layer of egg white over the tissue (try dipping your fingers in it and dabbing it on, so that the tissue doesn’t slide around a bunch).Your face may feel tight which is supposed to happen. Peel the tissue off, and then gently wash your face to remove any residue.

Note: If you want to put on the mask 3 to 5 times a day, then make sure that before placing the next layer, previous layer must be dry enough. It you fail to do this properly,it won’t work.

  1. Honey and Cinnamon Strips

Another ingredient that can help youget rid of blackheads is the combination of honey and cinnamon. Honey has antibacterial properties while cinnamon is effective in improving skin’s blood circulation. The combination of both will bring a great result.

Direction:

Mix one spoon of honey and one spoon of cinnamon powder together, until both form a paste. Apply a thin layer of paste over your affected area. Now, press a clean strip of cotton over it. Wait for 3 to 5 minutes, then remove the paste and clean your face gently, but keep in mind, after cleaning your face you should use a moisturizer for better results.

  1. Lemon

The main cause of blackhead is open pores reacting to oxygen, which can be controlled by the shrinking of pores. Lemon is considered as an astringent substance that can shrink out the pores.

Direction:

Rinse your face and tap dry. Squeeze the lemon juice into a small bottle and use just enough to dampen a cotton ball. Apply it to the affected areas 3 to 4 times a week during bed time. After you wake up, wash your face with lukewarm water and use moisturizer to soften your face. But the point that is to be noted is lemon can lighten your skin; it can make skin sensitive to sun. So, use of sun screenduring summer time is highly recommended.

  1. Sweat it out

`Sweating is also considered beneficial to minimize blackheads. When you work out, the sweat naturally flows over and softens anything clogging the pores. But make sure that you wash your face immediately before and after the work out, because it can be detrimental.
